A man based in South Africa has tragically di£d after returning to his village in eastern Nigeria, just a day before he was scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom to further his studies.

The deceased, identified as Somadina, popularly known as Soma, was laid to rest amid tears in his hometown following his shocking and untimely passing, which has left his family and friends heartbroken.

According to reports, Soma was bitten by a venomous snake that had allegedly been deliberately placed in his bedroom by his stepmother. The young man, who had worked tirelessly in South Africa to secure a scholarship to study in the UK, never got the chance to fulfill his dreams.

His colleagues and loved ones are devastated, blaming jealousy and envy for his tragic death, with some accusing those close to him of plotting his downfall.
